Do Penis Extension Devices Work?

leave a comment

Some of you have written into Enhancement Advice with queries about the various Penis Enlargement Devices ranging from pumps, weights, stretchers along with a slew of other items.

Simply put, many of you are wondering whether these “so-called” male enhancement devices actually work to increase your penis size.

First of all, referring back to the previous blog post about size, here is a word of advice:

Stop worrying about your size!

With that said, referring back to the question about whether these male enhancement devices work to increase your size, sadly enough the answer is no.  Also take note that a lot of men who’ve tried the different devices have written to us with complaints about their experience using some of these devices.

To sum those responses up in a nutshell – these devices are expensive and they can hurt you.  And again, there’s no product (pill, device or cream) that can increase penis size permanently.  Only surgery can increase penis size but it’s not recommended, very risky and very expensive.

Now back to the devices, some men who’ve used them reported scary tales of injuries they suffered ranging from bruising, pain, permanent scarring, loss of sensitivity and the inability to get a proper erection.  Others reported complaints of feeling duped out of hundreds of dollars.  By the way some of these devices can cost as much as $300 and up.  The scariest tale was from one gentleman who burst one of his blood vessels using a penis pump.

Guys, natural male enhancement supplements are way less invasive than these devices not to mention … they’re much cheaper.

ExtenZe Soda

leave a comment

It’s amazing to see what the newest developments are in the male enhancement realm.

It looks like the makers of ExtenZe supplements are attempting to diversify and solidify their presence in the male enhancement market.

It appears that Extenze also comes in a drink — actually it’s available in soda form.

This could be an option for guys to consider, especially for those who are somewhat squeamish about pills.  Before you guys reach for that cold male enhancement soda, you may want to give this a second thought because the ExtenZe drink also contains yohimbe.  As mentioned previously yohimbe can cause some pretty scary side effects.

To add to that, we can’t forget ExtenZe’s notorious history with many disgruntled customers.

With that said, for those of you who are curious and want to know more information about ExtenZe soda you can check out their infomercial on youtube:

By the way (though this has nothing to do with the drink at all), some of you might be interested to know that lingerie model and former backup dancer for Brittney Spears, Bridgetta Tomarchio, is a spokesperson for ExtenZe.  You’ll also see her hosting the infomercial.

Well you have to admit she definitely does grab one’s attention.

Herbs vs Drugs

leave a comment

Impotence also known as Erectile Dysfunction (ED) is the inability to achieve or sustain an erection adequate for sexual intercourse.  Although most men are afraid to admit to it, ED is a fairly common occurrence.

The unveiling of Viagra in the late 90s spawned the birth of other prescription ED drugs like Cialis and Levitra as well as other generic brands.  Following the birth of these prescription medications countless natural male enhancement products also known as “Herbal Viagra” popped up soon after.

The fact of the matter is, herbs are not a new concept when dealing with male impotence.  In fact, herbs have been used for many centuries in Chinese, African, naturopathic and traditional medicine.

The question on many people’s minds is:

Are herbal supplements better and safer than prescription drugs?

Well, yes and no.  Though many herbal male enhancement supplements are designed much like good quality vitamins which are beneficial to your sexual health, there are a number of products that may contain unknown amounts of very potent herbs that can be toxic to the body which in turn can cause very serious side effects (i.e. Yohimbe).  And as mentioned in earlier posts, we’ve seen and heard about some products that contain the real drug sildenafil which is used in Viagra and should only be given by a doctor’s prescription.  To add, the FDA has found that some herbal supplements contained traces of lead or animal feces (perhaps from animals grazing nearby the herbs).

Ahh…Remember good old Extenze?

The problem isn’t with the herbs themselves but the way in which some male enhancers are manufactured and in many cases where they’re manufactured.  Unlike prescription drugs which follow strictly controlled guidelines set by the FDA, the manufacturing and selling of herbal supplements isn’t as regulated.  This means that some companies (particularly those located outside of North America) don’t even test their products before they sell them.

Food for thought isn’t it?

Men, a word of advice…when choosing a supplement make sure it’s manufactured in North America at an FDA approved laboratory!

Boston Medical Group

leave a comment

A few visitors who were curious about natural male enhancement have also written into us with some inquiries about The Boston Medical Group and many of you have probably heard their commercials on the radio.

What exactly is The Boston Medical Group?

According to the company website the Boston Medical Group is “a is a global alliance of medical centers sharing research information and treatment methods for male sexual dysfunction.” The Boston Medical Group has about 23 offices which can be found around the world and clinic has been in operation since 1998 with its first office located in California.

This sounded quite professional and impressive so we at the Male Enhancement Institute thought, why not take a closer look?

Guys, you may want to consider all your options before you decide on paying a visit to one of Boston Medical Group’s clinics.   A lot of feedback from men who’ve tried their services, complain that the visits are quite expensive and that their method of treating your erectile problems involves injecting a needle into the penis to induce an erection.  There have also been cases of lawsuits filed against the company.  One case involved a man who was awarded $750,000 for permanent scarring and damages he suffered. ( see  http://www.nydailynews.com/money/2009/10/07/2009-10-07_jury_awards_john_henry_howard_9m_verdict_after_erectile_dysfunction_treatment_yi.html )

It appears that both the visit and the doses of medication (which you’re supposed to inject yourself at home) are very expensive.  Insurance may or may not cover the costs and many men have reported complaints that they felt duped out of their money and that the visits either felt like a used car lot salesman type of situation or an assembly line where everyone’s case is treated in the same way – a ‘one solution for all’ type of scenario. By the way, one visit can cost as much as $1000.

Sounds like natural male enhancement supplements are a much less invasive way to help with your erectile issues.

Care for a needle to help with your erection problems?

Thanks… but… no thanks.

Rize 2 The Occasion Recalled

leave a comment

We’ve received some queries from visitors regarding the availability of a male enhancement supplement called Rize 2 The Occasion.  Some of you are wondering why this supplement is very difficult if not impossible to find these days.

Well, yet again here is a case of another product recall.  As it turns out, Rize 2 contains sildenafil which is used in the ED prescription drug Viagra.

The FDA and Health Canada have ordered that all Rize 2 the Occasion male enhancement products be taken off the shelves.  The following is an excerpt taken from a media release from Health Canada:

“Rize 2 contains an undeclared pharmaceutical ingredient similar to the prescription drug sildenafil which should only be used under the supervision of a health care professional. The product may pose serious health risks, especially for patients with pre-existing medical conditions such as heart problems, those who may be taking heart medications, or those who may be at risk for strokes.

Use of sildenafil by patients with heart disease can result in serious cardiovascular side-effects such as sudden cardiac death, heart attack, stroke, low blood pressure, chest pain and abnormal heartbeat. Additionally, use of sildenafil may be associated with other side-effects including vision loss, seizures, sudden decrease or loss of hearing, dizziness, prolonged erections, headaches, flushing, nasal congestion, indigestion and abdominal pain. Sildenafil should not be used by individuals taking any type of nitrate drug (e.g., nitroglycerin) due to the risk of developing potentially life-threatening low blood pressure.” (Warning 2008-124 August 06, 2008)

Some online distributors and MEI visitors have written responses regarding Rize 2’s ability to work immediately and with alcohol – apparently in as little as 25 minutes after taking a dose.

As the saying goes, “If it seems too good to be true…it usually is.”  Yes this product may have been very effective for some of you who’ve taken it but unfortunately it is one of many male enhancers masquerading itself as a natural health supplement when in truth it contains a drug.

Be warned that there may be some online distributors still selling this male enhancement product – guys please don’t buy this product!
