Why We Need Testosterone

leave a comment

The aim of this male enhancement blog is to inform and amuse all who are interested or curious about male enhancement or about how to maintain a healthy sex drive.  We’ve talked at length about the different male enhancement products but we didn’t talk much about the fuel that keeps our libidos running.

Hormones. Yes, we know what they are but we seldom know what they do; or more importantly how they affect us not just with sex drive but in regards to our health in general.  As mentioned in a previous post, the slightest imbalance of hormones (especially testosterone) can drastically change or even kill your sex drive?

Testosterone is known as the most important hormone for men – after all it’s what makes us masculine.  Furthermore, testosterone is important for both men and women especially when it comes to having a healthy libido.  Testosterone’s main job is to maintain the body’s sexual functions.  Medical research has long concluded that low T- levels directly affect sexual performance and can also cause serious health issues.  Studies report that men over age 50 have 55 per cent less testosterone compared to their younger male counterparts.

Signs of low testosterone include:

  • Low sex drive
  • Low sperm count
  • Excess weight gain and growth of moobs (man boobs) – yes seriously this condition is actually called Gynecomastia
  • Weak erections
  • Memory loss
  • Irritability
  • Health problems (especially the heart and prostate gland)
  • Hair loss

So with that said, balanced testosterone levels are a “must have” not only for sexual function but for overall health.  Don’t be surprised if in the near future natural male enhancement supplements turn out to be a staple… sort of like vitamins, headache pills and toiletries.

Maybe we’ll remember to keep a bottle of ZENERX handy next to the Tylenol, deodorant, Vitamin Cs, condoms and toothpaste.

Oldest Male Enhancement Herbs

leave a comment

Research suggests that some foods, herbs and nutritional supplements can stimulate the production of hormones that affect a person’s sex drive.  Actually, the herbs and minerals contained in many male enhancement supplements have been proven helpful in increasing blood flow to the genital areas while boosting nitric oxide and testosterone levels.  They also work to relieve stress and rid the body of toxins.  All of these factors combined can surely do wonders for the male libido.  What we probably don’t realize is that many of these herbs have been in use for centuries because of their well-known aphrodisiac effects.  The following is a list of the most widely used time-tested herbs:

Epimedium a.k.a “Horny Goat Weed”Famous for its interesting name, this herb has been in use for centuries as an aphrodisiac.  Horny Goat Weed helps boost energy levels and nitric oxide production as well as enhance free testosterone within the body.

CnidiumAn herb known for its medicinal effects to improve blood circulation and increase nitric oxide levels in the body.

L-arginineAn amino acid that helps build nitric oxide.

Ginko Biloba and Ginseng - These two herbs together help maintain healthy tissue and blood blow especially in the penile chambers.  Ginko is known for its anti-oxidizing properties while ginseng boosts energy levels.

Zinc - Helps in the production of testosterone as well as improving sperm count and semen quality.

Tribulus terrestrisThis herb has multiple functions which include enhancing testosterone, building muscle and boosting strength and stamina in the body.

Tongkat Ali - Known for its properties to fight fatigue, boost sexual desire and increase sperm count and motility.

We all know that nourishing the body is important to maintaining a healthy sex life.  Fortunately there are many proven natural male enhancement products that can help men improve their overall sexual health.  Think of them as the aphrodisiacs of the future.

Signs You Might Need a Male Enhancer

leave a comment

We’ve discussed some of the ways to keep the penis healthy.  We thought that this would be a good time to discuss some of the signs why your libido may be waning.  Fear not, natural male enhancement supplements might just do the trick to fix these little glitches.

Low testosterone

Testosterone is the most important sex hormone in the body.  It is an absolute ‘must-have’ for a healthy sex drive.  Of course we all had plenty of it in our younger years but as we get older we produce less of it.  Actually, we should mention that the body does produce DHT (dihydrotestosterone), a mutated form of testosterone.  Much like menopause in women, men go through a similar stage called andopause where the hormones (especially testosterone) become imbalanced.  If you feel irritable, tired and have lost interest in sex lately, you may need that little boost in testosterone.  Natural herbs like Tongkat Ali, an ingredient widely used in most male enhancement supplements, can help restore it.

Nitric oxide levels

Many of us don’t even know what this chemical is, but it’s integral in order to achieve an erection.  Nitric oxide allows the blood vessels in the body to relax thus allowing blood to flow into the penis creating an erection.  The production of this chemical decreases over time as men age.  If your penis seems less sensitive lately or if it’s taking you longer to achieve an erection, chances are your body needs more nitric oxide.  Male enhancers with L-arginine can help the body produce more nitric oxide.

Poor Blood Circulation

Good blood circulation is not only vital for sexual health, but it is absolutely necessary in order to maintain good overall health.  Certain lifestyle habits such as smoking, drinking and poor diet might be preventing healthy blood flow.  Moreover health conditions such as diabetes and heart disease can contribute to weak erections.  Male enhancement ingredients like Cinnamon and Gingko Biloba are great ingredients to help the body naturally balance blood sugar and blood flow.

Like well-oiled machines, we too need maintainance now and again when it comes to our sex drive.  Natural male enhancers can be considered as our fuel.
