Testosterone Replacement Therapy…Help or Hazard?

leave a comment

Okay guys, we’ve know that testosterone is the number one hormone, especially when it comes to normal sexual function and prostate health in men.

We also know that with andropause (a.k.a male menopause) comes an increase of dehydrotestosterone (DHT) a.k.a a mutant form of testosterone or to put it bluntly “bad testosterone.  The increase in DHT can cause hair loss, excess weight gain, prostate problems, irritability, sexual dysfunction and a whole host of other issues.

Enter testosterone replacement therapy, a common treatment that doctors prescribe to counter the issues associated with andropause.

Testosterone replacement therapy can either be administered via injection, orally or by wearing a patch.

While this may be an effective method of treatment for some men going through issues associated with andropause, as mentioned in previous posts, there are risks of side effects which range from agitation, restlessness, rapid heart rate, polycythemia (excess of red blood cells), and growth of the prostate gland.

To be honest, this artificial building of testosterone sounds kind of scary.  We can’t help but think of the athletes that have used testosterone replacement therapy to boost their physical performance before the “big game” only to hear terrible stories of how it caused violent rampages or to put it bluntly “roid-rage.”

Remember what happened to WWE wrestler, Chris Benoit?  Autopsy findings reported elevated levels of testosterone caused by steroids.  Whether he was using steroids for performance enhancement or whether he was using them because of testicular insufficiency is unknown.  It’s also unknown whether the ‘roids’ contributed to his murderous rampage but we can’t deny that it is a possibility.

Men, you may want to consider other options before you choose testosterone replacement therapy.

Remember, the herbs and other nutrients in male enhancement supplements have been proven highly effective in naturally elevating the body’s levels of existing testosterone while blocking the formation of DHT.  Ingredients like Tongkat Ali, Tribulus terrestris, Omega 3 fatty acids, Macuna Pruriens, Saw Palmetto and Horny Goat Weed are a good start.

Of course they also seem much less invasive.

Male Enhancement for “Male Menopause”

leave a comment

As women reach their 50s and beyond, we all know they go through the life change of menopause which is the time when their menstrual cycles stop and a woman’s reproductive functions cease.  We also know that when this happens it throws off chemical and hormone levels in the body which can cause sexual dysfunction.

On that note, men go through a similar life change that we seldom hear or talk about.  The life change is called andropause a.k.a. male menopause.  Medical experts have conflicting views about whether or not andropause exists.  One of the reasons is because- unlike menopause which is a complete cessation of a woman’s reproductive process, men can still reproduce well into their senior years.   However the menopausal symptoms women experience can also happen to men.

According to wikipedia:

Andropause is a decline in the male hormone testosterone. This drop in testosterone levels is considered to lead in some cases to loss of energy and concentration, depression, and mood swings. While andropause does not cause a man’s reproductive system to stop working altogether, many will experience bouts of impotence.

As discussed previously, testosterone is the main hormone for sexual function.  When men encounter erectile or T-levels problems, doctors will either prescribe ED meds for their erectile problems, and/or testosterone replacement therapy through injection.

We’ve already discussed the side effects these drugs can have and fortunately there is another way to restore sexual function and deal with some issues brought on by andropause.

Natural male enhancers not only help deal with sexual/erectile problems but they can also aid in restoring the body’s chemical and hormone levels.  Male enhancement supplements that contain Tongkat Ali and Tribulus terrestris can do wonders to increase the body’s T- levels.  Good natural male enhancers also contain other supportive ingredients to help restore the body’s chemical levels as well.

Though andropause might be a normal part of a man’s aging process, impotence and declining hormone levels aren’t necessarily inevitable – all thanks to male enhancement supplements.

Maybe it’s a good idea to keep some by your nightstand.  Hail male enhancers!

Marvelous Maca Root

This site has talked about the 5 recommended ingredients for male enhancement which are L-Arginine, Tongkat Ali, Cnidium, Epimedium and Horny Goat weed.

When put together these ingredients are great for increasing testosterone, building strength and energy, increasing nitric oxide levels and improving blood flow which all contribute to better erections and good sex.

Well, there’s another male enhancement ingredient that also provides benefits to men’s and women’s overall sexual health and that herb is called maca root

Native to Peru, Peruvians have long since known about the many wonders of maca root.  The first recorded usage of maca root can be traced as far back to the time of the Inca Warriors of South America who consumed maca root to enhance their strength, energy and stamina during battle. In South America it is used as a general nutrient to increase libido and reproductive health and has long since been known as an aphrodisiac.

Its effect is due to sterols which act on the hypothalamus, pituitary, and adrenal glands, producing hormones which help increase energy and libido.

For women maca has been known to:

  • Reduce menstrual cramps
  • Balance hormone levels
  • Helps with skin problems (i.e acne)
  • Increases sexual stimulation
  • Reduces stress and thwarts off depression

For men maca has been  known to:

  • Increase testosterone
  • Increase sperm count
  • Boost libido
  • Improve fertility
  • Helps with skin problems (i.e. acne)

So guys, when looking for a male enhancement product, try to find one that contains our 5 recommended ingredients along with maca root.

It might be just the thing that will give you that sexy mysterious glow.

Condoms for Male Enhancement

leave a comment

We at enhancementadvice.com have a new idea for an invention.  Since there’s so many products for male enhancement on the market like chewing gum, soda, pills, devices, lubricants and so on, we thought hey, why not create a new male enhancement condom?

In theory at least, the spermicide gel contained in the condom can contain male enhancement herbs like Tongkat Ali, L-Arginine, Horny Goat Weed, Cnidium and Tribulus terrestris.

Think about it.  If this were to ever be invented, it would serve three purposes – protect you and your partner from an unwanted pregnancy and sexually transmitted diseases (STDs), while at the same time improve your erection and sexual performance right?  Of course, the herbs and minerals that increase sperm count (such as zinc and selenium) need not be included.

Perhaps the makers of the popular male enhancer, ExtenZe, could see a condom version of its brand in the future … hypothetically speaking of course.

Maybe condom manufacturers can create an extra-ribbed version that could even “enhance” the sexual experience or at the very least tactile sensation for the woman as well.

What do you guys think?
